Audubon Society Northern Virginia Mini-Grants
Every year, the Youth Education Committee of ASNV sponsors a mini-grant program to support teachers, schools, and non-profit organizations in youth-oriented education about birds and the environment. The committee is pleased to offer three mini-grants of up to $500 each for 2022.

Supply A Teacher program seeks to remove the burden of having to provide necessary resources from teachers in underserved schools. Teachers supported through our program can receive two large boxes of items they need to fuel a full semester of active learning. Head to SupplyATeacher.org to apply!
AIAA Foundation Classroom Grant Program
Each school year, AIAA awards grants of up to $500 to worthy projects that significantly influence student learning.
Grant Rules

A clear connection to science, technology, engineering, art, or mathematics (STEAM) with an emphasis on Aerospace must be included in the grant proposal.

Applicants must be a K-12 classroom teacher with funds that will be paid to the school.

Each school is limited to up to 2 grants per calendar year.

Funds must be spent on the items proposed in the original application.
NWA Sol Hirsch Education Fund Grants
At least four (4) Grants, up to $750 each, are available from the NWA Foundation to help improve the education of K-12 students in meteorology and related sciences. These grants are possible thanks to the many NWA members and family and friends of Sol Hirsch who retired in 1992 after being the NWA Executive Director for 11 years. Sol passed away in October 2014.
Emerging Teacher-Leaders in Elementary School Mathematics Grants
Apply for NCTM's Mathematics Education Trust grants, scholarships, and awards. Funding ranges from $1,500 to $24,000 and is available to help math teachers, prospective teachers, and other math educators improve the teaching and learning of mathematics.
National Science Teaching Association- Shell Science Lab Regional Science
The Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge, encourages science teachers (grades K-12) in select communities located through throughout the U.S. who have found innovative ways to deliver quality lab experiences utilizing limited school and laboratory resources, to apply for a chance to win up to $435,000 in prizes, including school science lab makeover support packages valued at $10,000 (for the elementary and middle levels) and $15,000 (for the high school level).
Association of American Educators Foundation Classroom Grant Application
Classroom grants are available to all full-time educators who have not received a scholarship or grant from AAE in the past two years. Awards are competitive. AAE members receive additional weight in the scoring rubric. Join AAE today.
For education grants, Verizon and Verizon Foundation funding is intended to support projects that promote digital skills development for students and teachers in grades K-12. This includes, for example, summer or afterschool programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), teacher professional development, and research on technology-infused pedagogy. Schools and districts that apply for grants from Verizon and are eligible for the Education Rate (E-Rate) program may not use grant funding to purchase technology hardware (computers, netbooks, laptops, routers), devices (tablets, phones), data or Internet service and access, unless approved by Verizon compliance.
Dollar General Summer Literacy Grant
Schools, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations who help students that are below grade level or having trouble reading are eligible to apply. Grant funding is provided to assist in the following areas:

Implementing new or expanding existing literacy programs

Purchasing new technology or equipment to support literacy initiatives

Purchasing books, materials or software for literacy programs
We award up to 70 grants each year, your proposal could be one!
Application Basics:
Who: Public schools, public libraries, public preschool programs
Where: The United States and U.S. commonwealths and territories, including Puerto Rico and Guam
Limit: Only one application per school or library
Not eligible: Private, parochial and public charter schools, private libraries, nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations
National Girls Collaborative Project
Mini-grants are awarded to girl-serving programs with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). They are granted to support collaboration, address gaps and overlaps in service, and share exemplary practices. Mini-grants are a small amount of seed funding and are not intended to fully fund entire projects. The maximum mini-grant award is $1000.
K-5 grade teachers are invited to apply on-line for a Toshiba America Foundation grant of not more than $1,000 to help bring an innovative project into their own classroom.

Grant awards range from $100 to $500. A limit of one grant may be awarded per teacher per year. Grants may be limited to two per school per year.
The annual deadline for AEP Teacher Vision Grant applications is the fourth Friday in February, and grants are announced by May. All grant recipients are required to submit an on-line project evaluation by the end of the subsequent school year following the grant award. Recipients who receive a check payable to an individual rather than to a school or non-profit organization will be required to submit project receipts. Higher-resolution digital photographs may be used to enhance project summaries. AEP may use the photos for publicity purposes.

Gravely & Paige Grants for STEM Teachers
The Gravely & Paige Grants provide funding to elementary and middle schools in the United States to promote STEM innovation in the classrooms with emphasis on academic programs. Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded. This is a joint effort between AFCEA chapters and the AFCEA Educational Foundation to help augment the cost to students for activities or tools inside or outside of the classroom, such as robotics clubs, cyber clubs and other STEM related activities to promote STEM to students.
National Science Foundation NSF Discovery Research Grant
The Discovery Research PreK-12 program (DRK-12) seeks to significantly enhance the learning and teaching of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computer science (STEM) by preK-12 students and teachers, through research and development of STEM education innovations and approaches. Projects in the DRK-12 program build on fundamental research in STEM education and prior research and development efforts that provide theoretical and empirical justification for proposed projects. Projects should result in research-informed and field-tested outcomes and products that inform teaching and learning. Teachers and students who participate in DRK-12 studies are expected to enhance their understanding and use of STEM content, practices and skills.
Each year, we fund worthy projects in PreK-12 schools across the country. We have a very specific mission of providing books for school/educational libraries for disadvantaged students
Space Discovery Center Foundation Grant List

Space Foundation’s Grant List for Teachers is provided as a resource for educators and is curated from a variety of different sources. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the granting organization and therefore Space Foundation has no influence on this process.

Pets in the Classroom is an educational grant program that provides financial support to teachers to purchase and maintain small animals in the classroom. The program was established by the Pet Care Trust to provide children with an opportunity to interact with pets—an experience that can help to shape their lives for years to come.
Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (Fulbright TGC)
Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms (Fulbright TGC) equips educators from the United States to bring an international perspective to their schools through targeted training, experience abroad, and global collaboration. This yearlong professional learning opportunity for K–12 educators features an intensive online course and a short international exchange.
Fund for Teachers supports educators' efforts to develop skills, knowledge and confidence that impact student achievement. By trusting teachers to design unique fellowships, Fund for Teachers grants validate teachers' professionalism and leadership, as well. Since 2001, Fund for Teachers has invested $33.5 million in nearly 9,000 teachers, transforming grants into growth for teachers and their students.
Educators frequently need outside resources to engage in meaningful professional development due to limited district funding. Through our Learning & Leadership grants, we support the professional development of NEA members by providing grants to:

Individuals to participate in high-quality professional development like summer institutes, conferences, seminars, travel abroad programs, or action research

Groups to fund collegial study, including study groups, action research, lesson plan development, or mentoring experiences for faculty or staff.

National Endowment for the Arts Grant
Grants for Arts Projects is our principal grants program for organizations based in the United States. Through project-based funding, the program supports public engagement with, and access to, various forms of art across the nation, the creation of art, learning in the arts at all stages of life, and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life.
Applicants may request cost share/matching grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Designated local arts agencies eligible to subgrant may request from $10,000 to $150,000 for subgranting programs in the Local Arts Agencies discipline. A minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount is required.
